Eirados 10 Year Old Tawny Port, Portugal

Originally known as the Quinta Santa Eufemia, the Eirados Douro estate was established in 1864 by Bernardo Rodrigues de Carvalho. The winery is on the site of a Roman grain store or ‘eirado’.

All wines produced are from the family’s own 50 hectares of vines and are based on Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and other traditional varieties. Open ‘lagars’ are used for the crush.

A mellow, rounded wine with an amber appearance (from long controlled oxidation in cask) and has flavours of dried fruit, fig, almond, hazelnut and honey.

Sit back in an armchair and enjoy with aged cheeses such as Manchego or Cheddar.
