Eirados Fine Ruby Port, Portugal

Originally known as the Quinta Santa Eufemia, the Eirados estate was established in 1864 by Bernardo Rodrigues de Carvahlo. The winery is on the site of a Roman grain store or ‘eirado’.

All wines produced are from the family’s own 50 hectares of vines based on Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and other traditional varieties. Open ‘lagars’ are used for the crush.

This is a vigorous, fruit driven port with a deep colour, a certain richness and sweetness with a lick of spirit.
