Château Cambon La Pelouse 2017, Haut Médoc, Bordeaux, France

Chateau Cambon La Pelouse is a 39 hectare property in Macau, Haut Medoc. Its name derives from ‘lawn’ or pelouse in French. During the boom in vineyard planting in the 1700s many chateau owners ploughed their lawns to maximise grape production.

The wine is produced from Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (46%) and a drop of Petit Verdot. Aged for 20 months in oak (40%) new, the wine has a deep colour, bouquet of cassis, oak and clove with a vigorous fruit filled palate with fine tannins.
