This wine is a de-classified estate from Margaux with a great pedigree. Margaux is an important appellation in the Haut-Médoc of Bordeaux, in the south-west of France. Situated 25 kilometres north of the city of Bordeaux, the appellation is renowned for producing supple and flavourful wines, mainly based on Cabernet Sauvignon.
Margaux is one of Haut Medoc’s most important appellations, renowned for its high quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Here we have a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barriques for 12 months.
The wine has a blackcurrant, fig, prune and sweet spice character, and delivers great value for money.
