Domaine Meunier Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru ‘Champs Gain’ 2024, Burgundy, France

A very elegant wine with great minerality and refreshing acidity which is long and refined in the mouth. Will accompany fish or lobster and should be decanted before serving. Can be kept for 5 to 10 years after bottling.

The grapes for this wine come from a parcel at the top of the hillside in Puligny, just above the 1er Cru Folatière. The soil is clay and limestone and the grapes are hand harvested. After pressing the juice is left to settle for a few days then put into French oak barrels (40% new). Indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation and the wine spends 12 months in barrel before being blended and bottled.
