D’Angludet is a Margaux estate with 300 years of wine-making pedigree. The contiguous gravel rich vineyard spans 30 hectares planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc roughly equally and 10% Petit Verdot.
Under the ownership of the Sichel family (Bordeaux negociants and proprietors of the fabled Chateau Palmer) the wine is more Cru Classe in performance than Cru Bourgeois and is farmed biodynamically.
Stainless steel (and latterly clay amphorae) fermentation is followed by 12 months aging in barriques, 25% of which are new.
The estate’s hallmark characteristics are perfume, elegance and vibrancy. with maturity, savoury, mellow and warm spice notes develop.
