Botanica Arboretum Red Blend, Devon Valley, Stellenbosch, South Africa

A concentrated Bordeaux-style red blend with black cherry, blackberry, cassis and tobacco on the nose. Plush plum and dark berry flavours meet firm, finely structured tannins, gentle savoury spice and a lingering finish. Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant variety; hand-harvested fruit from the estate vineyards is fermented in open-top tanks with regular punch-downs. Fruit is grown in organically farmed vineyards.
