Domaine Remoriquet is a 10 hectare estate working exclusively with ‘lieux dits’ (named vineyards) and Premiere cru expressions. Gilles places great emphasis on soil and vine health, and has reverted to concrete fermentation tanks which are seen as a more sympathetic vessel than stainless steel.
Yields per hectare are rarely anywhere near the permitted levels, and new oak usage for maturation kept to below 30%.
In style, Les Allots is bright and supple in style with attractive fruit, yet there is some ‘muscle’ behind it and fine tannins. a ‘benchmark’ Burgundy.
