Bolney Estate, ‘Foxhole Vineyard’, Brut Reserve, Sussex, England

This is a single vineyard of Bolney Estate; one of Sussex’s foremost producers of bottle fermented sparkling wine. The vineyard was planted out in 1972, with a Pinot Noir dominating, with a smattering of Lychgate Bacchus.

Foxhole has an ample persistent mousse, inviting nose of hedgerow fruit and on the palate, crisp acidity, gentle bubbles and notes of brioche and sweet apple.

A must for celebrations and for ‘al fresco’ dining.
